Hi Everyone,  I am personally concerned. I doubt many of you share this concern but I am interested in your thoughts and links.

I'm personally thrilled that Bernie is the front runner, and I will be voting for him.  Trump thinks he can trounce him by calling him a socialist communist, but Bernie knows what to say to dispel that, and shoot back at Trump that he ( Trump ) is the one using socialism to enrich the wealthy corps and his buddies!  Bernie is the one wanting to use our tax money to 'give back ' to the little guy and level the playing field.  Trump underestimates who he is dealing with!

I lean towards Sanders, I really think that he should have gotten the pick in the 2016 election. It is so strange this time around because there are too many. Grave concerns with Warren, her track record in Mass isn’t that good if by chance she were picked trump has a lot of dirt on her. He doesn’t have to try to hard on her. I am still trying to get a handle on Sanders. What has he done politically? Please let me know. Right now my top two picks are Sanders and Bloomberg. At least Bloomberg is funding his election. In 2016 trump said he was self funding, he spends other people’s money because he has very little. Why any one would think he can run the government when everything he touches he files bankruptcy on or doesn’t pay his bank loans. He owes the Deutschland Bank 300 million dollars, the bank is finally looking in to the mess since the loan officer who approved this mess committed suicide once the investigation started. Why isn’t he making public his tax returns? What is he trying so hard to cover up? As for dumbo trump jr, I don’t believe. For one minute that he got the permit to kill a bear in Alaska’s. It was bought for him in usual fashion. How will he explain if he accidentally kill another endangered animal.

I am for Sanders and Warren. To many years have passed that we common folks have been left behind. Our rich Plutocrats and rich corporations have long cared less if we on the bottom survive or not. The DNC is worried and trying to stuff Biden down our throats. He is their golden goose who will not let anything change and we will continue to suffer. Their crumbs of Medicare for All Who Want it is a joke. Again it is a program for those who can pay for it, and does not address the idea that people on the bottom will continue to die because they can not afford to pay. Education? 68% of Canadians are college educated. Does this make you wonder what we could accomplish in hopes of a more educated society.

i can not believe any voter would vote for Arrogant, Pompous Bloomberg. He has lived a life above average people and he bought his third term as Mayor in NYC. His track record is horrific and scary. We are nothing to him and the sooner we die the better for society in his mind. He blamed the big 2008 bust on poor people of color because banks loaned to them and set them up to lose. He taxed soda pop because he decided NYC was to fat. He wanted to fire half the teachers in NY and make class sizes 70 or 80 kids because the teachers union wanted better benefits and wages increased. He said poor youth were not working because they were lazy and had no work ethic. Just because he can blast the air ways does not mean people will revolve around him, telling him what he paid to hear. He does not provide the answers for common people and his debate performance shows he waves a magic wand or a biG muddy stick to get his way.

we need to vote for who is our favorite now, but after the Primaries all voters need to get behind our candidate and no matter what is said or done to discount our guy or gal show up in mass to end the the fascist rule of trump Crime Syndicate.

Renee, also thanks for posting your consideration of candidate choices. I wish I could help enlighten you more on Bernie's points of view but, alas I can not. I get that he is for the good of the people....in my opinion he is too far left. As to Bloomberg, frankly, I don't like him. But do I think he can beat Trump-possibly yes. As we all know I won't waver from Biden unless he's off the ticket and if so it will be Bloomberg for me. If both are not on the ticket I will have to make another choice and of course I'll vote for whoever is the nominee. It'll be them or Trump-like a no brainer important choice.

And Flyover thanks to you as well for voicing your opinion on your choices and why. I keep saying this but this election - at least for me and many others it seems - is about electability pure and simple. I just do not think that either Warren or Sanders or Mayor Pete or Amy K. can beat Trump. Of course, I'm open, let one of them get the nomination and they will get my vote and if they win I will "eat my words"...but again to me is not so much who we like and who would do a good job. I just feel it has to be about who would beat Trump. They all have "issues" of some sort in their background. As to Biden, call me an old Fogey or whatever but to me the best years were the Obama years...and I prefer a moderate. And yes, Bloomberg is a billionaire with issues too and do I think he'd be the greatest President we've had? No. Do I think he has a better chance than the others except Biden to beat Trump-yes. And he has the money and is self funded which perhaps will give him
an edge - we'll be waiting to see how things develop now that they are getting into the more diverse and more voting states. I hope we have a blue wave all the way around.

I believe Bernie to be very honest, intelligent, and with good intentions, which is why I back him as my first choice.  Tom Steyer is my second choice because he seems very sincere in wanting to use his wealth to give back to humanity, and is making the climate crisis a huge priority!  He would back renewable energy and making the tough choices we all need to make to save our planet.

We need another Democrat like JFK to defeat Trump.

IMO none of the current candidates meet the standard.
Any landing you walk away from is great.

Flyover, I agree with you completely! Bernie is (and was in 2016) my first choice. tweetledum can call him a socialist and make up as many stories about Bernie as he wants... anyone with any intelligence knows better to believe his pathological rantings. As for Bloomberg???? Do you mean trump 2.0??? My husband and most of his friends grew up in NYC or nearby. Not one single one of them would give a wooden nickel for either trump or Bloomberg. Just read up on the crap that Bloomberg has pulled and the nastiness he's talked. No way.

dfcloud I understand what you see in Bernie....and I admit to not being aware of whatever crap Bloomberg has pulled...but we are in desperate times. Electability again is my reason for my choice(s). We have to get Trump out of office. You and many others think Bernie can, and, if he gets the nomination I hope you are right.

QuietStorm, I also like Tom Steyer. But with all of his money he did not make this last debate stage or gain, if any few delegates in the elections so far. So I am not thinking he has much of a chance at the nomination. Sadly because I do think he's a good guy and may have or have had a chance to beat Trump.  I am not a Bernie person but it seems I am in the minority, at least at this point, both on our forum and elsewhere.
But that's ok - we can all choose who we want....I say, as long as you think the person has a very good chance of beating Trump while Trump is lying, stealing and cheating his way to a re-election. This election is just so different.

The big hope is the youth vote, and Bernie has them fired up to vote for him.  He also carried hugely the Latino vote in Nevada and I believe many minorities will back him.  Maybe once it gets known to the old white supporters of Trump-ass that he plans to take away their Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and food help, as well as farm subsidies, they will begin to see the REAL scenario of conman Trump, and fall away from voting for him.  If Bernie loses the nomination, I fear the youth vote will also wane and we need massive numbers to vote Democratic or the very corrupt one-sided electoral map will once again hand Trump the win like last time.  I fear a repeat of that like in 2016.  I've heard that we need over 5 million votes to counteract the electoral sum in order to win.

QuietStorm, I hear you about Bernie and him drawing votes from all people. I myself wonder if/when Trump's supporters will get wind of his plan to cut Trillions of dollars from Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, food stamps and farm subsidies. We know the Republicans (serving!) go out there and lie like Trump does...but Trump can't shut up and has "let this cat out of the bag" (no offense to cat owners here-just an expression) more than once. To me, it is public enough that I further can't understand why anyone would support him. You have to think that a majority of his supporters need one, two or all of the programs he plans to end or cause to collapse. As to Bernie and 2016....God...I hope there is no repeat of 2016....I am still a moderate though and think Biden has the best chance. I thought for awhile about Bloomberg but after all that has come out about him....I don't think he'll get the nomination nor beat Trump. Sorry people not sorry, Biden is still my first choice. I think we need to take things back like they were in the "no drama Obama" era before we put bold new ideas out. I do believe in the inclusion of youth and of course all minorities and everyone, but I just don't see Bernie winning against Trump if he gets the nomination. Whoever gets it needs to hire cyber security experts...because we know the other side is cheating. Over 5 million votes needed sounds daunting but we ARE the majority, after all and for good reason. I believe, hope and pray we can win! And once we get Trump out Barr will be out and I believe McConnell's up in January-he needs to go too.
