Do you think that now that Trump has started a war and his own Attorney has been charged with criminal activity and more dirt comes out on him every day that the Republicans will stop placing their bets on this scumbag? Your thoughts.

So much has happened in the past that did not produce a wholesale abandoning of Trump by the Republicans in Congress (although some did sharply criticize him).  There are two ways the GOP members of the House could resist Trump, vote against his legislative proposals and bring a bill of impeachment against him.  Criticisms that appears as quotes on the evening news do not deter Trump.  By sticking with this mad man, Trump, the GOP members of Congress are enablers and participants in the dismantling of American government norms and institutions. On sites such as this Board we can exchange anti-Trump and pro-impeachment thoughts among ourselves, perhaps therapeutic, but the most immediate steps to resist Trump are to encourage our elected US representatives to support the Mueller investigation and to speak against and resist Trump in all their Washington interactions. The most important step we can take as individuals is to go to the polls and elect Democrats and Independents in order to unseat Republican from House and Senate seats.
